Breed Handling

Breed Handling classes are offered on THURSDAY EVENINGS at the NWNJDTC Training Building in Hardyston at 7:30 PM. Classes follow the Obedience training calendar each session. All classes are offered on a drop-in basis for $12/handler.

Instruction is geared to the needs of the class. Basic instruction includes gaiting, stacking, free-baiting, table work, and basic handling techniques. If you are new to the dog show scene, we'll teach you the basics. If your dog needs practice with strangers or you're working out an issue, we'll spend time with you. Our mirrored walls are perfect for evaluation and are used for checking the view the judge gets.

Instructors are owner-handlers with extensive experience showing their own dogs at all levels of dog show competition form any years. Training is individualized to meet your needs-so if you need table work, practice with down and back, or practice on free stacking, please tell the instructor.
